Caves and Miscellaneous

HCP Cave (Heart Container Piece Cave)
Location: Past 2C
Items: 6x Heart Container Pieces

This place is pretty cool. Some of them are complicated though. Seven block puzzle rooms in a row, sneaking past enemies, a couple bosses, a block maze, raft maze, and an obscured maze.

How far you can get depends on whether you got the bracelet or power glove. We'll start with the pieces that require neither.
Go north on the eastern side. Kill the Manhandla to open the door, and then kill a Manhandla 2 to get the piece of heart. Bombs work for both.
Go north on the western side. When you get to the branch go east. You can kill the enemies or sneak past them to get the heart container piece.
Go north on the western side. When you get to the branch go north. When you get it, you can F6, but if you really like puzzles there is a way back through every block puzzle screen.
Requires Bracelet. Go west, and down the stairs. Go west and into the block maze. This is too complex to describe easily. The path through the maze is highlighted in a lighter shade. When you get the piece, there's a warp to get out.

Requires Power Glove. Go east and past two block puzzles. This is the obscured maze. You can only sort of see where you are, and you can see almost none of the path. The map has two versions for this area, one with what you'll see, and one with the walls highlighted red. This might be the hardest piece of heart in the game, but I'm not sure.

Coin Cave
Location: Present 20
Items: Rupees

This is a useful cave. First, once you enter this place, you can come back from the warp zone. Second, it is packed with rupees, more than 1500.

Getting here is unfortunately not easy. There are several ways to get there depending on where you want to start.
When you're in here, most rooms give red, purple, or yellow rupees when you kill all the enemies on the screen. There are quite a few rooms, and the total is 1580 rupees.
The cave is stocked with enemies that drop rupees, stalfos rope leevers and tektites. If you still need money this is an easy place to farm it.
The deeper you go into the cave, the harder the enemies get, but the prizes are bigger.
There is a fairy pool all the way at the back to refill your health.

Plundered Grave
Location: Future 7A
Items: 2x Heart Container Pieces

Go back to the future desert with the Power Glove and a Superbomb. Under one of the graves, top row second from left.

This place isn't very big, but it can take a while. There are a lot of caskets laying around (174), but only two them have keys in them.
Then you can use the keys to get to the end. The heart container piece is guarded by a few Stalfos 3, which should be no problem at this point in the game.
You will have noticed a chest to the righthand side. There are two bombable walls to get to it, and inside is the second piece of heart.

Class Area
Location: Future 33, Present 33, Past 33
Items: Class Items, Class Dungeons

You can get to the first Class Area in the future, just outside the town. Here you select your class, and then the first Class Dungeons are available. In the present and past, it's just the Class Dungeon portion.

This is the future Class Area. It contains the class selection and the fisrt Class Dungeons.
You start in a room with a brief explanation. If you want a better explanation go east, but go west to the selection area.
Left is Knight (Knight's Badge), Center-Left is Thief (Hookshot), Center-right is Wizard (Magic Wand, Magic Book optional), Right is Monk (Hammer).
Go downstairs to the Class Dungeons. Knight can pass north, Monk can pass east, Wizard can pass south, and Thief can pass west.
Each corner has a Class Dungeon, so each class gets access to two of the four Class Dungeons.
In the Present and Future, there's a very short hallway to stairs down, and the portion of the map on the left is accurate. The second set of Class Dungeons is in the present, and the third set is in the past.
There is no point in the game, even after beating the game, where a player can access more than half of the Class Dungeons.

Warp Zone
Location: Whistle Warp (every destination)
Items: none

Blow the whistle, and ride the whirlwind to Warp Zone. Yup, just like Super Mario 3. And it even has the Super Mario 3 warp zone song.

Welcome to Warp Zone. This has the same function as the original whirlwinds, but with some much needed improvements.
Blowing the Whistle will send you to the warp zone (assuming you have a Tear). You choose where to go at the Warp Zone instead of cycling through the dungeons.
The warp zone has rooms corresponding to each level, blocked by a barrier. Once you've beaten the Tear dungeon, the barrier will fall and you can warp to the Tear dungeon's location.
You can go straight to the Help Cave from the whistle warp. If you're warping somewhere, it's not much out of the way to see what the Help Cave says. Always unlocked.
There is a warp to the town that's blocked. You'll need to fix something. After that, if you enter the castle, it will unlock this warp.
There is a warp to the Coin Cave. You just need to go inside the Coin Cave, and this warp will be unlocked (hear the item pickup sound).
There is a warp to Level 7. I don't want to give too much away, but this one opens halfway through the entirety of Level 7. The game will stop to tell you what it is once you get that far, but it is a little useful.

Misc Caves
Location: Various
Items: 5x Heart Container Pieces

These are a few random locations to get heart container pieces. This is where to find them and where they lead.

The lefthand one is obviously pushblock puzzles.
The top three are multi-boss rooms. Kill them all for a piece of heart. Left is easiest, right is hardest.
The middle one is just a simple heart container piece.

Help Cave
Location: Present 67
Items: none

Help Cave is straightforward enough. It's just a straight line up, get some help. The tiles are the same ones that are in each Tear dungeon.

After you beat the game, come back here. Only he can give you the location of th-. You'll have to wait until you beat the game (or read ahead to the End of Game section of this page).

Fairy Caves
Location: Past 09, Past 50, Present 0E, Present 23, Present 6A, Future 1D, Future 54, Coin Cave (present 20).
Items: none

There's no real purpose in showing this, but I figured I'd throw it in. It's all the single-room caves with Fairy Pools to refill your health.

Time Warp
Location: Various
Items: none

No surprises here, you learn it almost immediately in the game.
