This one is my favorite. It's based on the lost woods section in my previous game. A knot of lost woods screens had a solution that had to be pieced together from three “clues”. Each clue is part of a path through entire maze like NEWNEN, and you had to figure out what order the clues should be in to get through the woods. I wanted to make the puzzle for that one a bit harder, but was worried it would frustrate too many people into quitting.
This is a lot more complex, but it's after the game so who cares. Write down every clue. There are more than two dozen lost woods screens, but you don't have to do them all at once. There are three sections in order to make it to the end, and once you beat a section you can skip it. And then you need to do one more at the end.
Every section of this, including that final part, can be worked out entirely. And you start out with the map so you can see the lost woods area is 7x4, and the compass so you can see which screen is the end. And of course you can see where you start. Now fill in the rest.
