Secret Dungeons and More:

These are the four dungeons at the end of the game. Until you beat the game, the entrances will remain hidden in the overworld. But after beating the game, they rise from the ground to give you an extra challenge. There are no items as your reward, since every item can be gotten before beating the game. It's just a question of how hard do you want it to be. By the way, the magic key and lens of truth are not going to help.

Level SECRET-1 (combat):

Things might get a little too rough. You'll have to fight through six rooms at a time. There are eight groups, increasing in difficulty, and you can skip any groups you've already beaten. There isn't much mystery to this, but here is a link to the map.

Level SECRET-2 (maze):

This is a maze of warps. Each warp destination will have two, three, or four directions to go in with a warp in each direction. There are no markers or any way to know whether you've been there before. And you need to get the boss key. This map link is entirely unhelpful, as you'll learn everything in it in the first 30 seconds. But there is a little more information here, but no hints about where to go, and no maps to show the size or structure, just sheer randomness. Good, ahem, luck.

Level SECRET-3 (puzzle):

I try to space out my block puzzles between the dungeons, but probably don't do enough to figure out the difficulty order. Whatever the case, this dungeon is nothing but puzzle rooms and trap rooms. Start off by buying a few keys, because there are not enough in the dungeon. Yes, you can finally buy keys. Keys won't help in any of the secret dungeons. This used to require picking a class, but now you can buy your way past the few class-specific rooms. I considered doing more with the individual classes, but I felt it was important to ensure you can beat every dungeon in the game with two playthroughs not four. The normal dungeon map is here.

Level SECRET-4 (lost woods):

This one is my favorite. It's based on the lost woods section in my previous game. A knot of lost woods screens had a solution that had to be pieced together from three "clues". Each clue is part of a path through entire maze like NEWNEN, and you had to figure out what order the clues should be in to get through the woods. I wanted to make the puzzle for that one a bit harder, but was worried it would frustrate too many people into quitting.

This is a lot more complex, but it's after the game so who cares. Write down every clue. There are more than 24 lost woods screens, but you don't have to do them all at once. There are three sections in order to make it to the end, and once you beat a section you can skip it. Every section of this can be worked out. All you need is to pick up the map so you can see the lost woods area is 7x4, and the compass so you can see which screen is the end. Additional help and solutions are here.

Level SECRET-5 (???):

First, you need to complete SECRET-1 through SECRET-4 before you can get here, as well as find the gold statue at the end of the side quest. I honestly have no idea how many people will make it past SECRET-4. If nobody can figure out SECRET-4, then this dungeon was made for nobody but myself. Oh well.

You might be able to guess where this is going. There is only location in the game that could still use your help, and you might have come across a person asking about those five things mentioned above. In the town in the future, there is a bombable cave that was a home in the present for the two men who sell additional max bombs, and is now called the abandoned cave. There's a bombable wall inside too, so use the candle so you can see where. There's a second obvious bomb spot, and also a downstairs area. Downstairs is a room with barriers blocking the way, and the second bomb spot leads to somebody who knows what's required (and a purple rupee). Getting the gold statue triggers the shutter, and the barriers will disappear when you walk towards them if you've beaten that secret dungeon. See the dungeon map.

Secret Caves:

These were open the whole time, but most of them are extremely easy to miss. Want to check out the best eight secret money locations? Not the ones with the most money, these ones are occupied by people from pop-culture (some probably don't count as pop-). You likely found one or two of them. Check out Reference Locations to see what characters's are where. Or if you just want to know what screen to look for the entrance so you can be surprised check out Blind Reference Locations.
